Dan's photo outings are hands-on workshops where you learn by doing. It's a great way to learn new techniques and immediately put them into practice. They're open to photographers of all skill & interest levels. Come join the fun!
Luna Parc
with Tamron
April 9 &11 - Join Dan's Camera City and Tamron for an exciting 2-part workshop at Luna Parc Atelier. The event will begin Thursday, April 9th, with an informative seminar covering useful photography tips and techniques that will benefit you on capturing great images at Luna Parc. On Saturday, April 11th, we take our charter bus to Luna Parc and walk the grounds capturing unique and beautiful photos with the help from Tamron and staff of Dan's Camera City.

From Shoot to Print: A Complete Film Photography Experience
May 30 — Jump into film photography with this immersive, hands-on workshop that takes you through the complete process from camera to print in a single day! Whether you're drawn to film's unique aesthetic or ready to slow down and be more intentional with your photography, this workshop combines technical learning with creative exploration in a fun, social setting.
Animal & Wildlife Photography at the
Lehigh Valley Zoo
May 31 — Join us for a fun photography session at the Lehigh Valley Zoo! We'll share our favorite techniques and tips for capturing great shots of animals & birds, and practice in (mostly) controlled conditions with the Zoo residents. You'll get special access an hour before the zoo opens to the public, and a special animal encounter for unforgettable closeups!
Don't have a great lens for wildlife, or want to try something new? Our friends from Sony will be here with high-end cameras & lenses that you can borrow for free!

Butterfly Photography Workshop
coming in July — Join us to photograph these amazing creatures up close in controlled conditions. You'll capture great photos and learn more about how to find and photograph them in the wild.
We'll work with a variety of butterflies, caterpillars, maybe even a big moth two. You'll learn about the habitat, behavior, and life cycle of these beautiful little insects, where and when to look for them, how to approach them, and camera tips to help capture an amazing image.
Stars on the Lake
coming in August - Capture dramatic night sky photos in a rural location with nice dark skies that’s only 50 minutes away from Allentown! In this special workshop, we’ll help you capture amazing photos that capture the beauty of the Milky Way, stars, galaxies, and more.
We’ll also show you ways to enhance your photos with creative lighting, long exposure techniques, and post-processing. And we'll also share insights into where to go to find darker skies, for further exploration on your own.
Photography at the Hot Air Balloon Fest
coming this summer — Join us for a spectacular photo workshop experience at the Warren County Hot Air Balloon Festival! We'll have special access for our photographers to get up close as hot air balloons prepare to launch en masse at this fun, photographically interesting event. We'll even attend the pilots' meeting ahead of time so you'll know exactly what to look for.
This photo workshop is open to photographers using any type of camera, even your phone. Dan's instructors will be right there with you to help you capture great images.
Lakota Wolf Preserve with Tamron
coming in October — Experience photo opportunities of a lifetime watching and listening to wolves up close, along with foxes, bobcat, and lynx that live at the preserve. Since we're visiting the animals where they live, in an stress-free environment, you'll get the best possible photo opportunities!
Cancellations & Refunds
Please call Dan's Camera City if you would like to cancel your seat in a class. We will attempt to accommodate all cancellations in a future class of equal or lesser value. If we are unable to accommodate you in a future class, all cancellations one week prior to the start of the first class will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than one week prior but more than 72 hours will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 72 hours prior may receive 50% store credit. Partial refunds for classes or sessions missed are not available.
Inclement Weather
In times of inclement weather, please call the store to check the status of your class. Please dial 610-434-2313 x389. Dan’s reserves the right to cancel classes with less than 50% enrollment. In this case, students may choose credit toward a future class or a refund.
