Film Photo Workshop Day
From Shoot to Print: A Complete Film Photography Experience
Saturday, September 6 - Jump into film photography with this immersive, hands-on workshop that takes you through the complete process from camera to print in a single day! Whether you're drawn to film's unique aesthetic or ready to slow down and be more intentional with your photography, this workshop combines technical learning with creative exploration in a fun, social setting.
You'll start with the fundamentals in our classroom. We'll cover film exposure basics, common pitfalls to avoid, and composition techniques that help you visualize great photos before you even click the shutter. Then we'll venture out to the Allentown Arts Walk with live demos and personalized guidance as you photograph urban art, capture candid portraits, and document street scenes.
We'll return to Dan's where we'll bring your film into our professional photo lab. You'll see photos come to life as we develop, scan, and print your work. Then we'll take a quick break for lunch, followed by a supportive group review session to help you grow as a photographer. You'll get to see each other's pictures, get valuable feedback on your own images, and see how different photographers approached the same scenes.

Everything you need is included
- Roll of film: choose color, black & white, or a special third option!
- Camera rental available for $10 if you don't have a film camera yet
