No matter how hard you try to keep your camera clean, no matter how careful you are with your lenses, it can still happen. Dust on your sensor shows up as strange dark blobs on every single one of your pictures. When dust strikes, we're here to help!
Since dust and dirt are the enemy, we suggest a full external cleaning when we clean the sensor. While we're working on your camera, we can also take care of any available firmware updates for you. Get your camera back in top shape with the latest features & fixes from the manufacturer. Allow one week to complete your cleaning & update service. Service includes camera body + one lens.
Sensor Cleaning Firmware Update: $99.99
Are your pictures showing up just a little out of focus? If you have a DSLR you may need a lens calibration. This is something that is actually very common and becomes very noticeable when your depth of field is shallow. It varies from lens to lens, but each must be calibrated per camera body.
Using advanced software and hardware, combined with the built-in refinements in the camera we can get your lenses perfectly paired to your bodies for the best results possible. We also provide you with the settings you need to have in your camera, so you do not need to have it re-done if you reset your camera!
Usually completed in just 3 business days.
Please Bring: Camera, lens(es), and charged battery for this service.
Lens Calibration: $49.99
Please Note: Only works with cameras that support lens calibration. All attempts will be made to calibrate. If we still are unable, you will still be charged for the service, and in extreme cases, it may need to be sent to the manufacturer (optional). If you have more than one camera body each lens must be calibrated to each body (Example: 2 lenses to be calibrated to 2 separate camera bodies would equal 4 lens calibrations)
If a dark splotch shows up in the same place on a bunch of different pictures, chances are good there's something stuck to the image sensor. But you might not see it in every picture. Areas with lots of other stuff going on, like trees or buildings, can hide the dust spots. They're easiest to see in flat, open areas like the sky.
Here's how we check for sensor dust at Dan's. You can try it yourself at home.
