Work at Dan's: Equipment Sales Specialist
Dan’s Equipment Sales Specialists (ESS) work closely with our customers to understand their needs and recommend the right products. To help customers find the best solutions, you’ll need to keep up-to-date with all cameras and related accessories. You’ll also use Dan’s systems for customer engagement to assist all retail customers with purchases, from camera gear to repairs and beyond. This includes answering phones, helping with inventory management, and general merchandising. All retail staff are expected to be knowledgeable in all aspects of our retail operation. Each staff member will have a specific area of the retail space to lead, which will involve coaching colleagues, working with buyers, and receiving guidance from managers.
Requirements
- The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate both a strong technical aptitude, display a willingness to be able to continuously learn, and have a genuine desire to serve retail customers.
- In-depth knowledge of photography and general aspects of computer technology is required.
- Knowledge of video and audio technologies is beneficial.
- Continual learning is expected, some of which will be directed on store time, and some will be your responsibility.
- An upbeat and outgoing personality is a must. You must enjoy working collaboratively with a range of personalities and backgrounds.
- Maintaining a focus on productivity and attention to details is required.
This is a sales position, not a photography position, and requires a certain level of proficiency and performance. One-on-one coaching and mentoring is part of our process.
Hours will vary from 32 to 40 hours per week, with OT required during times of peak volume. Hourly pay based on experience and demonstrated capabilities. Benefits include vacation and personal days, medical and dental insurance programs, and more.
