March 18 & 29 - Join Dan's Camera City and photographer Frank T. Smith for a behind the scenes photo workshop at this beautiful, historic theater. Enjoy exclusive access to areas not typically open to the public, including backstage, storage areas, and dressing rooms. Recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, the Civic Theatre is a neighborhood landmark nestled in the West End theater district.

We'll start on Tuesday night, March 18 with a one-hour Zoom meeting on at 6:00 PM. This virtual session will provide essential information, introduce your instructors, and allow participants to connect before the hands-on workshop.
Then on Saturday morning, March 22 we'll meet up at the theater. You'll engage in live shooting exercises both indoors and outdoors. Apply the techniques learned with guidance from experienced photography instructors. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to improve their skills and capture beautiful photos. About your instructor
Frank T. Smith, a self-taught photographer with a lifelong passion for the art, discovered his love for photography at an early age. Specializing in outdoor and architectural photography, Frank has traveled on global journeys to capture the essence of remote locations, documenting both the people and their cultures, often supporting philanthropic causes.
As a proud member of the OM Ambassador program, affiliated with OM System (formerly Olympus), Frank utilizes the OM-1 and the OM-1 Mk II as his preferred cameras. When not venturing into distant locations, he explores local landscapes and seeks out unique architectural and urban decay sites for his photography.
Widely respected in the commercial architectural photography community, Frank collaborates with developers, architects, engineers, and owners to capture the essence of their projects. His work has been featured in various media, marketing campaigns, print, exhibits, and philanthropic awareness initiatives.
