Team Carly Rocks!

Sep 22, 2015

Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending a very special fundraising event. For the fourth year in a row, 10-year-old Carly Lenett led a swim to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Carly has already raised over $25,000 this year alone!

We were set up with our capture and print service - a portable photo studio where we print portraits on the spot in just a few minutes. We met some amazing people, and everyone had a great time and enjoyed their free portraits!

Of course, there was a lot of other stuff going on too! An art teacher dontated his time to draw caricatures...

But the highlight of the day was Carly's swim. With U.S. Olympian Kristy Kowal swimming by her side, Carly swam over 2 miles in 75 minutes.

We're so happy that our donation could help with this amazing, inspiring event. But there's still work to be done. Check out Carly's team page and join her for the 2015 Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes on Saturday, October 10 at IronPigs Stadium.

The "solar maximum" is letting us see the Aurora Borealis unusually far south this year. Here's how to increase your chances of seeing them here in Pennsylvania. ALERT: Strong G3-class geomagnetic storms are possible today, May 11th , when a CME is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. During G3-class storms auroras have been sighted in the USA as far south as Oregon, Nebraska and Virginia. (via spaceweather.com )
