Why trade in or sell your gear to Dan's?
Instant payment for all your gear at once
When you sell your gear to Dan's we pay you on the spot. Often we pay cash, and for larger deals we'll give you a check you know will clear. Selling your equipment yourself means you have no guarantee how long it will take to sell all your items. Plus, you'll get 10% more when you trade your gear for merchandise or a Dan's gift card (max. $100 on each item traded).
Peace of mind
By selling to Dan's you avoid any concern of a buyer coming back to you afterward with any issues, real or imagined.
Save time and frustration
You won't spend time going back and forth about every item you want to sell. Nor will you have to meet someone you don't know, or ship items and hope your payment goes smoothly.
What to know before you come in
Dan's buys gear to re-sell it. That means we offer you wholesale pricing for your items, not retail. You will get more money selling your gear yourself. Selling to Dan's is an option with all the advantages listed here, but it's not the best option if you want the maximum amount of money possible.
Please call prior to coming to the store. While we cannot quote prices over the phone, we can at least confirm it is something we are interested in. We use a variety of sources to determine our quote, and there are many factors which will impact our interest level in your items. We only purchase items in full working order. Be sure to bring all accessories, cables, batteries, chargers, etc. We want to offer you the most possible, and missing components reduce the value we can offer.
Bring a government issued photo ID. For your protection we must have this whether we are taking the items in trade or buying them outright.
